Course Description:
This intermediate-level course is designed to refine speed, stability, and efficiency with both pistol and carbine platforms. While reinforcing core fundamentals, students will learn to increase their shooting speed through efficient mechanics. Techniques will be applied during movement, as well as in transitions between target and weapon systems.
Topics Covered:

Fundamentals refresher: stance, grip, sight picture, trigger press, breathing

Unsupported positions: isosceles/Weaver, hip/low ready, kneeling, sitting

Supported positions: prone, benchrest, barricade/supported improvised rests

Use of natural and artificial supports (bags, barricades, vehicle surfaces) — legal/ethical considerations emphasized

Transitions: moving from cover to firing position and back

Accuracy vs. speed drills; dry‑fire practice templates

Malfunction avoidance concepts and safe weapon manipulation overview

- Plate carriers and chest rigs are allowed but not needed.

Firearms:

Pistols: 500 Rounds or more

Rifles: (AR style platform) 500 Rounds or more (Slings are required for transitions)
- Magazines: 3 magazines at minimum for each weapon platform.
